I love walking through the wooded area on our property during each season to see what has changed. It turns out spring brings it's own uniquely beautiful plants and blooms. I love those curled up ferns...I don't think I've ever noticed ferns in that stage before. Around here spring feels more like three seasons that just one, there are so many stages to spring. Maybe it's the fact that winter is the most difficult Pacific Northwest season for me to get through that makes spring so refreshing. I've always said that summer is my most favorite time of year, but I may have to amend that statement...maybe.
