Been Away

I've been away from this space for a bit of time again. It's been a full and exhausting couple of weeks, but also a blessed and exciting couple of weeks. Now that June has ended and July has begun, let me share what has been happening lately...

Early mornings and late nights.

Long days of work upon work.

Too much coffee.

Not enough tea.

Not enough exercise.

Picking fresh salads and strawberries by the pound in the garden.

Perfect summer weather on some days.

Rain that would be more appropriate in February other days.

A huge - and exciting - change in my work status.

Time spent with dear friends who came to visit before they headed up to Canada to be married.

Much needed cuddle time with my Figaro and my Bambino.

An unexpected apology.

A random "small world" meeting here in my little podunk town with a person with whom I share many mutual old college friends.

Wine with a view on the balcony.

A sense of being overwhelmed at a seemingly never-ending to-do list.

A sense of peace and contentment with life.
